Welcome to the APPFEST COMMUNITY. Daniel Pardoe set up APP-FEST in 2008 under the original name Farmers Arms Apperley Festival, which was located in a small rural village near Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire. It was here Daniel had the priviledge of being The Pubs Landlord for over 10 years where the event was hosted in the pub’s large gardens and adjacent farmers’ fields. It was during the first year that locals from the village suggested to change the name to APP-FEST and so our Charity, Community Festival was born. Daniel envisaged appfest as a way to bring together the local communities and raise money for local and national charities through our love of great music. Over the years the event has raised money and awareness for many charities including Winston’s Wish, Cancer Research, Help For Heroes, Air Ambulance and many more. Daniel’s passion is working closely with local communities, developing relationships and striving to help others who are struggling and doing what he can to support others in need. Daniels passion for music begun at an early age after a serious accident which left him mentally and physically in a lot of pain. It was then he found that music was a way of channeling his feelings and helping with his depression. Music has seriously helped Daniel over the years and you will often see Daniel singing a song or humming a tune as he works, its just a shame he cant sing a note. APP-FEST ran for 10 years at The Farmers Arms selling out every year and being enjoyed by many thousands of people over the years. People not only from the local Gloucestershire communities started supporting the event but from further afield to the stage where the event had outgrown the land available. A difficult decision had to be made and that was to relocate the event to a new venue that could support the numbers and continue to benefit the local communities and charity partners
After all the issues that we have all endured during the Covid 19 pandemic which has resulted in 2 years of postponements, we are now extremely excited and driving forward towards APP-FEST 2022, that will be held from Thursday 28th July to Sunday 31st July. We have continuously added extra days and extra bands as a way to offer excitement and reward for the appfest community to stay engaged and have something extra special to look forward to. We are very much toward the end of our planning stages and have finalised a line up that offers unbelievable value for money. The new venue at Hillworth Farm Longdon near Tewkesbury has the land, scenery, amazing views and the opportunity to grow the event for many years to come and we feel it gives us all a very exciting future. We will continue putting our best foot forward, working tirelessly to bring you an event the appfest community can be proud of and we will continue to work passionately for the benefit our of local communities and our charity partners
